Only selling because I need the space for a Bridgeport miller. £850 Pictures of the Colchester Student lathe for sale here and details of Student lathes here

SOLD: an original Adept No.1 hand-operated shaping machine - a machine that has seen a very sheltered life and dates from the period 1935 to around 1960. The whole unit has been stripped down, the sliding surfaces polished to ensure smooth action and then lubricated with the correct slideway oil. Considering the original cost, they were very well made and now represent a fascinating introduction to the art of the hand-operated shaper in a compact form. Table 4 x 5 inches, ram travel 4 inches and a down feed of about 2 inches. The clapper box rotates each way about 40 degrees from the vertical. A big advantage over the Alexander and Robblak hand shapers is that the working surface can easily be raised or lowered to accommodate jobs of a different height. £195 Phone: 07522-194210 (Thetford, Norfolk) Pictures of the Adept No.1 shaper for sale here and details of Adept shapers here

SOLD: Champion Miniature Drilling Machine. A 1/4-inch capacity bench drill in good working and cosmetic condition. The originally painted parts have been stripped down, painted in a zinc-rich primer and top coated in a green gloss. The whole unit has been cleaned, adjusted and then greased prior to re-assembly. The drilling table is very clean, showing a few minor dings, so I suspect the drill has seen little use. The drill chuck and key appear to be original and have been manufactured by Almond of Conn. USA .  All that's needed to complete the drill are a small fractional motor - one from a sewing machine is often used on this type of machine - and a round belt (this can be ordered here) £125 Phone: 07522-194210 (Thetford, Norfolk) Pictures of the Champion drill for sale here and details of these useful little drills can be found here

SOLD
: Hauser high-precision vertical and horizontal clock and instrument maker's milling machine. Although typical of the many specialised machines Hauser made for the watch and clock industry, this example is a more versatile type with a built-in rotary table. Lever-feed travels on both slides and rotary table all with adjustable screw-stops. X axis travel 35mm, Y axis travel 35mm and Z axis travel 50mm. The vertical movements are two-fold: by the head slide and lifting the table. The spindle takes 10 mm Pultra collets held with the included drawbar. Fitted with a powerful but compact variable-speed DC motor that is easily positioned for both vertical and horizontal modes. Reconditioned and in full working order and ready to use. £1750. Inspection welcome. This is a compact machine but heavy - but I'm willing to send by courier at cost. Pictures of the Hauser miller for sale here and some details of these Hauser machines here
