SOLD: Schaublin 70 high-precision miniature lathe. 70 mm centre height. Complete with a W12 headstock with collets: 1 - 1,5 - 2 - 2,5 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 10 - 12,5 mm and a collet-mounted dead centre. W12 drawbar Pratt Burnerd 70 mm three-jaw chuck with insider and outside jaws Mounted a good, home-build underdrive stand with a 220 DC motor giving infinitely variable speeds through a vario transformer. This Schaublin 70 was originally installed in a Danish electronic company that made computers and calculators, etc. and the drive system and its controls were probably made by the Company's engineers. : Downham Elliott mini-borer with facility to act as a co-ordinate milling and drilling machine. A very high quality, small foot-print (21" x 17") jig borer in good condition. Table 16' 'x 7'' with 12" of longitudinal and 7" of cross travel controlled by very large, satin-chrome plated, vernier-equipped micrometer dials with face locks. Automatic powered down-feed for boring with 3 inches of quill travel and the whole head assembly raised and lowered by a star wheel and counterbalanced by a weight within the column. Tooling is held by collets with a range of 13 held in their door tray together with the special spanners for the spindle nose. Also included is a copy of the Instruction and Parts Manual. SOLD Harrison 165 late 165 x 1000 mm (6.5 x 40 inch) all-metric model with a camlock spindle fitting. . Gap bed lathe, metric lead screw and full screwcutting and feeds gearbox (with all-lever control), all-geared headstock and power sliding and surfacing feeds. Mounted on the maker's cabinet stand with chip tray, splash-back (not shown in the pictures) coolant system and a built-in Low-Vo light unit. A little-used, ex-college machine mounted on the maker's improved underdrive stand with a full-length splashback and tool tray. : Warco Turret Milling Machine Type KF-VO-A2F. Mounted on the maker's cabinet stand, fitted with a 2-axis DRO and metric micrometer dials. Swing, tilt and slide head has an R8 spindle (to take Bridgeport tooling) with both wheel-controlled fine downfeed and a rapid-action lever for drilling. Table 30" x 7" with 6-speed power feed that has both a "rapids" and a "slow" override setting. This is a very well maintained machine that has had little use. SOLD: Drummond "Admiralty" model 3.5" x 15" gap-bed, backgeared, screwcutting with power cross feed and automatic disengage to the longitudinal carriage drive. Mounted on metal stand with 1-phase drive system. This is a late-model example and complete with the very rare tumble-reverse assembly, three 3-jaw chucks, two 4-jaw chucks, faceplates, fixed steady (an adapted ML2 type), changewheels, original "Norman-patent" height-adjustable toolpost, tailstock chuck, a spare countershaft unit and a mass of assorted and very useful tooling--everything in the Worksop on shelves and in tins related to the lathe. One owner for many decades. Quick sale needed for probate - so just £275.

SOLD: For Sale- and REDUCED To CLEAR: Mondial "Soag Simplex" 7" x 36" gap-bed lathe. A well-specified lathe currently in use restoring museum displays. Fitted with a screwcutting gearbox and power sliding and surfacing feeds. Drive comes from a motor held in the headstock-end plinth. 3-jaw chuck, 4-jaw chuck, 4-way toolpost and a thread-dial indicator. : Warco VMC Turret Vertical Milling Machine. Equipped to a very high standard with the following specification: fitted inverter-controlled infinitely variable-speed drive (in addition to the 9 belt-driven speeds); 2-axis Digital Read Out and a digital scale of the quill travel; power feed to the 660 mm x 152 mm (26" x 6") table. Head rotates 360° on horizontal axis, tilts left to right and has both  a fine downfeed by handwheel and a quick-action drilling feed by lever. Quill is R8 - so takes inexpensive and easily-available Bridgeport tooling. One-shot lubrication to slideways and table feed screws; fitted optional extra-wide chip tray; halogen light unit, quick-action machine vice, R8 collet chuck and two R8 drill chucks - one a keyless precision type.

SOLD For Sale: Myford "254 Plus" lathe with a 5.34" centre height in an all-metric specifications and complete with a number of new, unused accessories.  Installed from new in a girls' school, and used for the occasionally turning of wood only - the grinding marks on the induction hardened bedways are still clearly visible. Mounted on the maker's cabinet stand and equipped with a full screwcutting gearbox, power cross feed from an oil-bath lubricated apron, a top speed of 2000 r.p.m. and a zeroing micrometer dial on the carriage handwheel. SOLD: Myford ML2 lathe 3.125" x 13" gap-bed, backgeared and screwcutting. Mounted on a really good metal stand with three large storage drawers. Property of a retired professional design engineer it is in good, clean condition and complete with a guarded V-belt drive countershaft unit. 1-phase motor, 3-jaw chuck, tailstock rotating centre and micrometer dials on the cross and top slides and a handwheel on the end of the leadscrew. There may well be other parts stored away as well. We have to sell the lathe by the 29th of November so offers over £175 will secure. SOLD: Harrison Jubilee Combination wood-turning lathe 5" x 30". This is a top-of-the-range version with a hand-driven carriage assembly that allows both precision wood and light metal turning to be undertaken. The lathe is complete with a large 4-jaw chuck; bowl-turning attachment; two tailstock--one lever-action the other screw-feed; standard short, long and two curved tool rests for bowl turning; four inboard and outboard faceplates; four sanding discs; a good set of over 20 wood-turning tools and some metal turning tools; a LowVo light unit; blocks of wood for turning and my set of wood-turning instructional books. 1 h.p. single-phase motor. : Harrison 140 lathe 5.5" x 24" with the late-type "3-lever" metric screwcutting and feeds gearbox, power sliding and surfacing feeds, an induction hardened detachable gap bed and a spindle clutch. Mounted on maker's stand with removable splash back. This is a really fine lathe -  I spent a long time searching for a good 140 and purchased this ex-college machine, which had clearly been looked after, a few years ago. Still in it's maker's factory finish it has the original 3-phase motor and a number of accessories including a genuine Harrison collet chuck assembly, Imperial transposing changewheels for inch screwcutting, the correct maker's 4-way toolpost, thread-dial indicator, travelling steady, tailstock chuck, coolant pump, chuck guard, the original LoVo lighting system and headstock spindle spanners. : Tom Senior VS Mk. 2  Universal Milling machine. A late-model, top-of-the-range example this is the strongest Senior made and has variable-speed inverter control of the 3-phase motor. The vertical head fitted is the self-motorised, variable-speed drive Senior "S-Type" No. 2 Morse taper swivelling type with both quick-action drilling by lever and a fine feed through worm-and-wheel gearing. Heavy-duty horizontal milling is aided by the rigid dovetail overarm and a slow-speed back gear assembly built into the main column. The swivelling table fitted is the larger of the two options offered at 37'' x 8'' and equipped with the rare variable speed drive. : Drummond "Round-bed" 4" x 11.25" lathe mounted on the original maker's treadle stand and in splendid, original condition. Complete with the correct angle-plate adapter and toolpost, screwcutting changewheels, 3-jaw chuck, faceplate, tailstock chuck, lefty-hand threading stud, Morse centres and a set of Whitworth spanners. The lathe has had one previous user, and subsequently two owners since. I have had it on display in the house, although I did make two pairs of toolmakers clamps entirely on it when I first bought it, just to try a treadle lathe. First owned from new by Mr Fred Croyden for his garage business in Redcliffe, Bristol, he kept it on retirement and it was sold by his grandson in 2012. The lathe has been completely rebuilt by the former owner, a retired Colchester lathes time-served fitter. Re-ground bed and slides expertly hand scraped to a perfect fit. SOLD: Viceroy 280 Synchro 5.5" x 24" backgeared and screwcutting lathe mounted on the maker's cabinet stand with storage cupboards and a full-length splash-back and tool-board. This is a top-of-the-range model with a screwcutting gearbox and the power sliding and surfacing feeds driven by a separate power shaft. In excellent original condition and still in the maker's original paint finish. Spindle has a safety D1-3" Camlock nose with a 1.1-inch bore. Tailstock is a No. 3 Morse taper. SOLD: A beautiful antique treadle lathe by HAYWARD of London. 5" x 24" with compound slide rest in bronze. Of an early pattern, the bed of this lathe is let into the front portion of the wooden stand with the treadle gear and flywheels in iron point bearings. A number or original attachments are still with the lathe including the original set of metal-turning tools stamped W.H. The lathe has been in the hands of my family from new and stored, unused, for the last 60 years. SOLD:  Granville Senior Lathe 4" x 20" gap-bed, backgeared and screwcutting. The lathe is in excellent working order - it was bought by my late father over 25 years ago - and has been used to make a number of  model steam engines. However, at some point prior to his ownership the headstock bearing cap was welded--but this has had no effect at all on the accuracy. The lathe is mounted on a good metal stand with cupboards and has a built-on all V-belt drive countershaft, 1-phase motor, guarded changewheels and a headstock belt cover. Extras include: a long T-slotted cross slide, two 3-jaw chucks, two 4-jaw independent chucks, 4-way toolpost (and the single toolpost fitted), three fixed steadies (one looks to be too large), a collet nose cap with some collets, thread-dial indicator, large faceplate, two spare chuck bookplates, catchplate, three angles plates (one a special 2-part type with a "nipping" V), 5 tailstock chucks, a collection of around 30 cutting tools, 6 drive dogs and a quantity of drills and turning tools. This lathe was supplied new in 2006 to our Apprentice training shop and used infrequently for simple demonstrations of basic turning and consequently is very lightly used. Unfortunately machine tool training ceased after a few years and the machining section was left idle with the machines only being exercised for periodic inspection until disposal.  Very well specified and equipped with: 3-phase 2.2kw (3HP) motor, D1-4 Spindle, 12 speeds  from 40 to 2500 rpm, dual Imperial and metric screwcutting and feeds gearbox, metric dials and lead screws. SOLD: Hommel UWG2 and UWG1 Multi-function machine tools. Complete, in good working order and with a collection of accessories as shown in the photographs.  Both machines were purchased in the early 1970s by a Belgium university and have all the original serial numbers. The UWG2 is equipped for milling and this machine is in an absolute stunning condition. The UWG1 is in the same, under-utilised condition as the UWG2 but has been standing for many years unused on an attic and needs a good clean and polish.

SOLD: Ainjest Rapid Threading Unit for a metric leadscrew Colchester and other lathes. Serial Number: COLMET6/312  In immaculate, lightly-used condition with no faults, chips cracks or mechanical issues. Identical in layout to the Deckel FP1, the Metba is a truly useful machine with a universal swivelling and tilting table, a swivelling vertical head together with a separate horizontal spindle. SOLD: Allanson Precision Miniature Lathe: ... the Allanson  23/8" (63 mm) x 11" (279 mm) miniature precision lathe was manufactured by David Miles Allanson Hick who ran Allanson Engineering at 9, St. Matthew's Road, Ealing, in London W5. Allanson were makers of high-precision products including a number of special lathes for the optical trade. This very rare example is in original, unmodified condition and complete with all the equipments supplied when new: countershaft, a Burnerd ring-scroll 3-jaw chuck, 4-jaw chuck, faceplate, catchplate, a number of collets with their draw tube, a hand T-rest and centres. This UW1 is in fabulous condition and was purchased by myself from Brunner Machines a couple of years ago. SOLD: Boley BE2 miniature precision drilling machine: all cast-iron and steel construction: height 490 mm, footprint of base 320 mm x 260 mm at widest point, work table 100 mm diameter with 30 mm of elevation. Quill 28 mm in diameter with a travel of 170 mm and fitted with an adjustable stop collar and an accessory clamping collar. Spindle bearings are of the precision plain type and the nose a standard B12 chuck-mount taper. The chuck fitted being a high-quality keyless 0.3 mm to 6 mm by Jango of Olstyn. Oiling points are provided on the main spindle with a sprung oiler cup underneath the work table.
