Unknown Lathes & Other Machine Tools
Do you recognise them ? If you do, please email the writer

Trying to identify a lathe or other machine tool?
Use the dedicated lathes.co.uk-only Search Box below. Put into the box any unusual or distinguishing feature of your lathe (or other machine tool) e.g. "round bed", twin-bar bed", "long top slide", "cantilever bed", "helical backgears", "central leadscrew", "flange-mounted motor", "pivoting head", "fine down feed" - or something similar.
The first few hits are generated by Google as third-party advertisements, scroll past these (or, of course, click on one if it helps you, it also helps to fund the Machine Tool Archive) and you'll reach your search results. You never know, you might just get lucky…
Should you not be able to find what you have, just send some clear, close-up, high-resolution pictures taken from all around your machine to: tony@lathes.co.uk. Should you not receive a reply in one or two days' time, it's simply that our email load can be overwhelming. In that case you are welcome to phone: 01298-871633 or from overseas: +44-1298-871633

If you have a Mystery Lathe - or other machine tool - and would like it added to the Archive, just send a set of clear photographs - preferably taken against a plain or uncluttered background - to tony@lathes.co.uk

Identified machines are often removed (hence some pages may be blank) and content also altered from time to time. If you have any comments or suggestions about the unknown lathes, please do make contact.
