Nothing to do with the "Liberty" lathe made by the Davis Machine Tool Company of Rochester NY from around 1915 until the early 1920s, these machine are made by the Shun Chuan Machinery Corp. in  Taiwan and tend to be copies of the English Colchester  range. If any reader has an example of other "Liberty" lathes the writer would be interested to hear from you.
