Still very active in the manufacture of large machines tools, for many decades Broadment have been responsible for offering a particularly wide range of lathes. One of their specialities was huge spindle bore "Oil-Country" type, while others were the massive machines such as the 2534 Series shown on this page and the Series 4860. Introduced in the 1970s, the 4860 was available with swings of 25 inches, 30 inches and 34 inches (635 mm, 762 mm and 864 mm) and with a common between-centres capacity 12 feet and 6 inches (3810 mm).
