Unknown Lathes Home Page
Though to have been made in the USA, this small plain-turning lathe is of relatively crude construction. The wooden tool tray to the rear of the bed reflects the type of fitting open to be found on larger but lighter lathes made during the 1800s. As the row of holes drilled into the tray is clearly intended to hold a selection of chisels, the lathe was obviously intended just for the turning of wood.
