Still in business, the Startrite Company produced well-built and long-lasting machines with many older models still in use (requests for technical literature going back to the early 1950s are still received). The range covered virtually every need from lightweight wood-cutting models to very heavy-duty metal types able to take jobs up to 4 tons in weight and equipped, typically, with power hydraulic feed to the table, infinitely variable-speed drive with a tachometer indicator, air-jet mist or flood coolant and built-in blade croppers, welders, grinders and an air pump. The majority of ordinary types were badged either "Startrite" or "Startrite Volant", the more specialised types "Wespa", "Meba" and "Habegger" - the latter two being by other makers and re-branded for the United Kingdom market. Later models - a very wide range offered - are covered here over several pages.
