Although I've written extensively on the early Hardinge HLV and later HLV-H lathes here, the catalogs produced by the company were full of interesting details and useful illustrations. While the sales literature for the HLV contained images of relatively poor quality, those for the HLV-H were much improved. Both the HLV and HLV-H were built in the United States, in Elmira, New York, and at a factory in Feltham, Middlesex., England.
