Badged as a Fowler and saying on its label, "Burbank Ca.", the lathe came into the present owner's hands with a motor not listed on Foredom's website. It also had with it the oldest rheostat foot-control unit that he's ever seen.
Although appearing, as with so many watchmakers' lathe, to take only collets in the headstock spindle, the appearance of the Fowler does seem to be rather 'rough' for that class of machine.
