Founded in 1909 and still leaders in their field, Oswald Forst GMBH are based in Solingen, a town in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, 25 km east of Düsseldorfo. Called the "City of Blades", Solingen has long been famous for the making of fine swords, knives, scissors and razors.
Forst always was a speciality manufacturer and concentred mainly on Broaching machines with a range that today includes horizontal and internal and external vertical models, helical, pot, turbine disc and 'hard'. They also offer broach sharpening machines and a range of broaches, fixtures and broach gauges. In past years they also made slot-and-keyway milling machines.
