Typical of lathes produced for light-duty use from the 1880s to the early years of  the following century,  this finely restored, backgeared, screwcutting detachable-gap bed lathe is almost 100% original.
Like many of its kind, no maker's mark can be found anywhere on the machine.

A Single ball bearing acts to receive the spindle end thrust.
