Manufactured during the 1960s into the early 1970s, the FB-32 series was a group of threeheavy-duty, professional machines intended for both production and one-off work. Able to mount jobs up to 800 kg in weight, the miller was build as horizontal, universal (horizontal with a table swinging 45° each side of central) and vertical models. All shared the same basic main column, motor-drive system, 10 kW (13.4 h.p.) motor, 1400 x 450 mm table and identical 24 rates of table feed - these being from 10 to 2000 mm per minute longitudinally and in traverse and 2.5 to 5000 mm per minute vertically. Spindle speeds of all versions - even the vertical - were also the same at 18 rates from 28 to 1400 r.p.m.
All versions could work as an ordinary miller with hand or power feed to the table, but also under "programmed control" by combining rapid feeds, cutting feeds and rapid return feeds together with the use of adjustable stops. Available at extra cost were an early form of NC control using a punched tape reader and a electro-contact copying attachment. The full specification of the FB-32 is below..
