Rucoco Power Hacksaws - Germany


Made in Germany but sold in the UK by a wholly-owned subsidiary The Rucoco Hacksaw Machine Company of 354 Cricklewood Lane, London N.W.2, Rucoco were market during the 1940s and 1950s.
Six models were offered, all of an identical design but different capacities and listed simply as the:
"Super Rapid No.1" to cut square or round material up to 6 inches in diameter
"Super Rapid No.2" to cut square or round material up to 8 inches in diameter
"Super Rapid No.3" to cut square or round material up to 10 inches in diameter
"Super Rapid No.4" to cut square or round material up to 12 inches in diameter
"Super Rapid No.5" to cut square or round material up to 14 inches in diameter
"Super Rapid No.6". to cut square or round material up to 16 inches in diameter
Rucoco saws were no simple devices like the popular but basic Manchester Rapidor type, but advanced machines in the same class as the superb English Wicksteed with the ability to regulate the cutting speeds either steplessly, or at fixed rates, and the cutting pressure on the blade steplessly.
