Rapidor "6-inch Light-duty Motor Driven Saw" with the slide-mounted motor

Advertised during the 1950s and 1960s this "Heavy-duty Production Hacksaw": was available in two sizes, the No. 1 with a capacity of 6 inches and weighing 438 Kg and the No. 1A with a capacity of 8 inches and weighing 508 kg. Each machine was fitted as standard with the same 3-phase,  2 h.p 1425 r.p.m. motor and had two speeds of 90 and 150 strokes per minute. As alternatives the speeds could be arranged at 120 to 200 strokes or, fitted with a 950 r.p.m. at either 60 to 100 or 80 to 130.

A model of the early 1970s, this Model HER-250 Electro-hydraulic, semi-automatic hacksaw was intended for production work and available in four sizes with the digits representing the capacity in mm: HER-250, HER-350, HER-450 and the HER500. The smallest model had a 3 h.p. motor, the middle two a 4 h.p. and the largest a 5.5 h.p. The HER-250 had four stroke rates of 120, 100, 80 and 60; the HER-350 and HER-450 each had three strokes of 90, 70 and 50 while the HER-5-- had three strokes of 85,65 and 45 - all stroke rates being per minutes. All had a separate elevation motor to lift the substantial arm
