With an unknown provenance, this rather splendid model lathe is marked on the top of its headstock "LATHE MODEL NEW MAN LONDON 1868" However, the front used is certainly not from the era and the likelihood is that this was a kit, supplied perhaps in the 1950s, for home completion.
