Possibly the oddest of them all and based on the bed and carriage of a Super 7, this "Excel Pinnacle" copy has a heavily-built headstock with a roller-bearing supported spindle.  However, instead of 14 useable spindle speeds ranging from 50 to just over 2000 r.p.m. (as on a Myford Super 7), there were eight with a maximum limited to 1283 r.p.m. Also changed was the tailstock, this having what appears to be an unnecessary long forward reach over the carriage. A hardened and ground bed was believed to have been supplied as part of the standard specification.
Also looking rather strange, with the headstock cover handle formed as part of the casting, the "Allied Amco" is yet another Taiwanese-built version of the Super 7

The "Allied Amco" branded version of the Myford Super 7
