Possibly the oddest of them all and based on the bed and carriage of a Super 7, this "Excel Pinnacle" Myford copy has a heavily-built headstock with a roller-bearing supported spindle.  However, instead of 14 useable spindle speeds ranging from 50 to just over 2000 r.p.m. (as on a Myford Super 7), there were eight with a maximum limited to 1283 r.p.m. Also changed was the tailstock, this having what appears to be an unnecessary long forward reach over the carriage. A hardened and ground bed was believed to have been supplied as part of the standard specification.
