Unfortunately, the design and build decisions behind this rather complicated and beautifully constructed little hand-operated shaper are now lost. Constructed largely from section of heavy angle plate and blocks of steel machined, hand scraped and bolted together, the unit includes some form of angle indicator - though how this functions is not immediately apparent.
