Founded in 1942 by a  group of three workers employed in a sewing-machine factory, the GER Grinding machine company is still in business. Loacted in what is known as the city of the machine tool, Elgoibar, in the province of Guipuzcoa, in the Basque Country of northern Spain, today the compnay's machines are all CNC controlled - the one shown on this page date from the late 1960s into the late 1970s.
