Additional tailstock "Runners" (what would be called 'barrels', or 'spindles', on a larger lathe) with various kinds of useful end fittings were available to fit the plain tailstock which was supplied with a simple runner having a male centre at one end and a female at the other.

Lever-action tailstock for the Wl & V1 Lathes. This unit had a tapered socket in the end to accept small drill chucks and other items with tapered shanks.

Both were sold in sets of 20.

Universal Runner. This was sold in a set with the eccentric holder, one plate with 20 different counter-sunk holes, another with 8 hollow centres, a centring pin, two small drill holders and one small drill pad.

Expensive collet-mounted miniature 3 and 4-jaw chucks helped the tiny lathes to tackle a wider range of more demanding work.
