Early-type, all-geared longitudinal table power-feed unit. This could be fitted from new, or retrofitted to older machines - except those with a 48-inch table.
The hand-change motor-gearbox unit provided - in geometric progression - 12 longitudinal table feeds from 7/16" to 79/16" on early models and from 9/16" to 93/16" per minute on later examples. A safety overload device was fitted that automatically reconnected the feed once the load was released.
At 13.5 inches high, 11.75 inches deep and 19.125 inches wide the unit was a considerable size and very heavily built; consequently it put a considerable bending stain on the table, especially when fully extended to the right-hand side. It was .
The later table power-feed units were much lighter and featured an infinitely-variable speed drive - and available to fit the cross and vertical feeds as well.

Later and much lighter longitudinal power-feed unit with variable-speed drive. This unit fitted all the millers, including ones with a 48-inch long table.
Cutting feed rates varied from 3/4 inch to 35 inches per minute - whilst a 45 inch-per-minute rapid traverse could be engaged by holding in a push button.
