Closely following the design of the 14-inch lathe the 16 and 18-inch lathes cbut with a much more substantial tailstock (there was no opening across the middle) together with a T-slotted apron that could be used as a boring table.
16-inch
18-inch Lathe
Bed-mounted, 6-station self-indexing turret. This unit was available for all lathes up to 32 inches swing and could be fitted with hand or automatic indexing and with hand or power feed.
A rear view of the power feed turret. A long keyed shaft passed down the length of the bed (it could be driven either through changewheels or a belt) and drove a small gearbox fitted with a worm. The wheel which engaged with the worm drove the turret forwards - return was manual.
18-inch Lathe with a Turret mounted on the cross slide. A simple and inexpensive way of equipping a centre (engine) lathe for short production runs.
