Looking like an interim Model before the introduction of more robust U2508 this model is clearly labelled EM825 and has a bigger table, a larger-diameter main column and a more robust, rectangular-form base without the earlier cutaway under the front of the table support. .Fitted with the faster of the two high-speed options (100 to 2900 r.p.m.) the head was of the type with the spindle-speed levers transposed from the left to the right-hand side.
