CHARITY Sale: TAYLOR lathe - 2.5" x 12" miniature backgeared plain-turning lathe. The only known example as manufactured by T.Taylor of Chester Street, Hulme, Manchester. Made circa 1895 - 1910 this lathe was, until recently, in the possession of the Gardner family of diesel-engine fame and stored unused for many years. Very well equipped with 3-jaw chuck, faceplate, compound slide rest, collet holder, collets, tailstock die holder, hand t-rest, numerous centres, countershaft unit, pulleys, cutting tools and hand-turning tools, etc. and in unmodified, original condition.
