For Sale Adcock & Shipley Universal or Combination Machine Tool. Just 25 of these were made for Royal Naval for use on submarine-support vessels. Mine is dated May, 1958.The machine comprises: a centre lathe, horizontal and vertical miller, drill press and a comprehensive, multi-purpose grinder. Machine is missing some minor items: changewheels, tailstock and covers. The universal miller part of the machine is beautifully engineered with power feed and both horizontal and vertical milling - though the end bearing for the 40 INT arbor is missing. The grinder is even better and, with a swivelling table, variable-speed table drive and powered work head can be used for tool-and-cutter, surface and just about any other type of grinding. Although the machine needs some work to recommission it there are signs it has had little use. Comes with a 1-phase to 3-phase inverter. Located south Lincolnshire. £8,000 or offer.
