Adcock & Shipley Model "2VR" vertical miller with circular table for continuous milling - intended for mass production using the principal of non-stop cutter rotation to reduce idle time. It appears that a ring of hydraulically operated clamps have been installed on the table, each holding what looks like the float-chamber assembly from a motorcycle carburettor. The wearing of a tie by the operator obviously helped to ramp up production rates.
